We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team in Gdansk. This is a unique opportunity to join an excellent team and have a meaningful impact on the Quality Engineering and automation process and culture. This is a hybrid role (manual and automation) focused on ETL testing and building out any associated test automation and processes to ensure the quality of Broadridge internally written applications. The ideal candidate will aid with the current transition off manual testing and over to automated testing.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you are expected to have industry-leading technical abilities that enable you to significantly improve product quality. You should have a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance, SQL/DB/ETL skills, scripting language skills, as well as knowledge of object-oriented design principles. The test software you will build should expose pre-production deployed code defects at the feature integration level.

Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively define test strategies, test suites, and test cases, with a focus on ETL/DB/Data testing for internally-developed applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, while supporting manual testing efforts during the transition phase.
- Analyze and improve current QA processes and tools to increase coverage and efficiency.
- Work closely with Software Engineers and Product teams to understand highly-complex ecosystems and ensure quality at every stage.
- Execute automated scripts, perform failure analysis, and help triage, diagnose, and resolve defects.
- Drive the conversion of manual tests to automated whenever possible. Supporting manual testing efforts while the transition is in process.
- Contribute to user acceptance testing, quality reporting, and ensure compliance with QA standards.
- Collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams, contributing to the achievement of deadlines and objectives.
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance or SDET experience, especially in ETL testing.
- Extensive experience designing, creating, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex SQL queries.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Java) and/or automation tools (including Selenium).
- Proven ability in designing, implementing, and executing automated and manual test cases.
- Strong skills in functional/UI testing, quality reporting, and documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of GIT or other version control systems; experience with API testing (JSON, XML, Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI).
- Experience working in Agile environments, with capabilities in delivering test automation within sprints.
- Strong analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
- Experience using Gherkin (BDD/TDD) with Cucumber or Jbehave, and test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, and Xray.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated passion for driving best practices in the testing and automation space.
- Experience building or improving test automation frameworks.
- CICD integration exposure (Jenkins or similar tools), and the ability to troubleshoot QA environments.
- Understanding of secure coding and security testing requirements.
