About the role
As an Operational Excellence Lead - Fintech Commercial, you'll play a critical role in setting the Commercial Operations team up for future success by innovating on the as-is state of our tools, processes and knowledge base. This role requires strong internal stakeholder skills, be it toward junior team members as you roll out process improvements, toward peers across departments as you align on new solutions, or toward Senior Leadership as you advise on new ways of working. This role may involve managing a small team of Operational Excellence Specialists who will help you deliver on team objectives.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Build and roll out new process and tooling solutions for Commercial team members
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to get Commercial, Finance, Legal, Procurement and others through the change curve
- Develop a scalable way to drive process Improvement based upon Operational feedback.
- Initiate & Drive pilot programs to test new ways of working
- Analyze process performance and research the need within Operations, to identify improvement areas
- Select improvement areas where the biggest impact can be made
- Assure and safeguard the improvement on the long-term by installing the appropriate control measures for key metrics
- Mentor junior team members, with the possibility of managing 2 junior process specialists
Role Qualifications and Requirements
- 3 years work experience in operations, operational excellence, or a related field, preferably in the payments industry.
- Stakeholder management: Ability to influence internal teams and from junior to senior levels to adopt processes.
- Change management: Tenacity to coach people through the change curve, even when it's tough.
- Data-Driven Approach: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven success in working with Product, Operations, Finance, Commercial and Legal teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience working with a ticketing system (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, Salesforce Cases)
- Experience working with a workflow management tool (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com)
