External Affairs Lead, Baltics

About This Role:
As the External Affairs Lead for the Baltics, you will be a vital member of our Market Access team, responsible for developing and executing market access strategies for our treatments in Alzheimer's Dementia and Rare Diseases across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. You will bridge health economics, pricing, reimbursement, and stakeholder engagement to support the successful commercialization of our treatments. Your role is essential in coordinating cross-functional initiatives and managing vendors to provide the necessary health economic evidence to gain and maintain reimbursement. Additionally, you will support the Head of External Affairs, Nordics and Baltics, in optimizing networks within stakeholder segments. Your efforts will be instrumental in ensuring that patients have access to our life-changing treatments.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and execute pricing and reimbursement strategies, manage dialogues with national authorities, and negotiate with payers.
  • Coordinate health economics and outcomes research projects to provide evidence for reimbursement and demonstrate added value.
  • Build relationships and drive advocacy with healthcare professionals, patient organizations, and government agencies.
  • Serve as the Baltic expert on national access pathways, healthcare systems, and public affairs capabilities.
  • Represent the Baltic region in Biogen's Nordic and Baltic Cluster and manage collaboration projects.
  • Support the Pricing and Reimbursement Manager in various brand-related tasks as needed.

Who You Are:
You are a strategic thinker with a passion for improving patient access to innovative treatments. Your ability to build strong networks and influence key stakeholders sets you apart. With excellent communication skills and a proactive approach, you thrive in complex environments and are adept at managing multiple priorities. Your strong business acumen and analytical skills enable you to navigate the intricacies of healthcare systems effectively.

Required Skills:

  • Master's degree or higher in a science/analytic field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Pharma, Consultancy, Healthcare System, or Healthcare Policy.
  • At least 5 years of successful manager-level experience.
  • Strong understanding of market access functions, including pricing, reimbursement, and health economics.
  • Fluent in one or more local languages and English.

Preferred Skills:

  • Established network within Baltic countries' stakeholders.
  • Experience in building strong networks within relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Knowledge of innovative contracting models and tender processes.

Additional Information Lithuania:

The base salary range for this position is EUR74,000 - 95,000. Base salary offered is determined though an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
