General Accounting Accountant

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general ledger accounting activities in accordance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, unusual balances, and aged items.
  • Monitor and record accruals in the appropriate accounting period.
  • Review supporting information and validate accounting treatments and estimates.
  • Manage prepayments and amortization activities.
  • Execute period-end close activities and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal and external service providers.
  • Identify risks, issues, and process improvement opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support transition, integration, and standardization of accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Support audit activities.
  • Participate in automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare non-routine accounting entries and analyses as required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in General Accounting or Financial Reporting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in a large or multinational organization preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial applications.
