Job Mission

The Laser Support Engineer will be responsible for performing numerous activities during the preparation and demonstration of technologies on a Laser Technology roadmap. The role will support the Laser Source Research team with lab activities, organization and basic analysis of data taken in the lab.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a system for tracking utilization of labs, lab equipment and lab supplies.
  • Work directly with Laser Engineers and Scientists to execute tests in laser labs and EUV sources, including alignment of lasers, system setups, and maintaining support equipment.
  • Support documentation of test procedures based on outlines from Laser Engineers and Scientists.
  • Independently carry out routine analysis of data taken in the lab based on processes from Laser Engineers and Scientists
  • Develop standard operating procedures for labs based on test procedures
  • Contribute to the PERT for activities of new technologies and integration into a EUV source.
  • Champion a safety culture in the laboratory and continuously improve the engineering controls for safety in the laboratory.
  • Work independently and assist the project lead by leading a small team in delivering key objectives
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work in any shift based on project needs

Education and experience
  • Requires a BS with 1+ years experience in physical science or engineering discipline.
  • Familiar with the engineering development process from requirements to design to assembly to testing of assemblies.
  • Hands on experience working with lasers.
  • Experience working in a lab environment.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$67,875-113,125

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
