Role and Responsibilities

Tasks include delivering training courses for external and internal customers on highly technical laser systems, teleconference or online delivery. Participates in curriculum development projects, procedure validation, laser service, test equipment maintenance and tool control. Training tasks include:

  • Deliver in-house, onsite training for Cymer's internal and external customers.
  • Conduct technical knowledge and skills training for field service engineers.
  • Serve as a multiple platform Instructor to deliver knowledge and skills training on product offerings. Examples include, but not limited to: XLR 900 LASER, 7000 (ArF & KrF) single chamberLASERs.
  • Perform service, maintenance and troubleshooting on department LASERs to maintain a ready for training status.

  • Utilize and maintain test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, power meters and beam analysis tools.
  • Order and transact parts in oracle.
  • Assist development team with preparing effective training content; videos and CBTs.
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedure to ensure safe environment for training.
  • Conduct and report student evaluations for new hire students to Lead Trainer and Training Manager.
  • Collect and analyze data for troubleshooting purposes as part of training delivery and laser maintenance.
  • Run LASER status/health reports as instructed.
  • Participate with Lead Instructor to resolve training department LASER issues.
  • Although the primary responsibility is technical training, this position is also responsible for participating in the curriculum development and learning administration process. Curriculum development and learning administration skills include:
    • Participate in needs analysis studies to determine training requirements for the field.
    • Conduct validations of processes, procedures and curriculum.
    • Process class attendance in Learning Management System.

    Education and Experience
    • Associates degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent field; or equivalent years of working experience.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a technical/vocational instructor or in the field, in the semiconductor industry.
    • Familiarity with basic test equipment: basic multimeters, o-scopes, hand tools preferred.
    • Public speaking experience preferred.

    Responsibilities:
    • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
    • May require travel dependent on business needs.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    The current base annual hourly range for this role is currently:
    $32.63-54.39

    Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
