Recruiter in Applied Materials Japan is a role that manages company's Talent Acquisition objectives by sourcing, screening, interviewing and recruiting well-matched, the most qualified talents to our company. This role is required to develop recruiting and sourcing plan that is in line with business objectives. This role additionally plans and executes recruitment activities, represents the company at career events/fairs, and maintains strong relationships with the community around the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Can work independently as a recruiter to take care of end to end recruitment activities under a moderate level of guidance and direction
- Lead on the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position Leverage relationships with outside vendors, web sites and niche posting sites
- Conduct regular follow-ups with hiring managers/HRBP to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
- Build quality relationships with internal customers and external agencies, universities, institutes and associations
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
- Build networks to find qualified candidates and fill open positions efficiently and effectively
- Utilize appropriate sourcing channels (Internet, referrals, recruitment vendor and post openings in appropriate venues (Job board and internal pipeline)
- Provide salary proposal to hiring manager, negotiate with candidate, finalize and proceed offer process in Workday
- Guide and implement company activities to promote employment
- Utilize Workday and CRM system for sourcing, reporting, metrics and provide feedback to streamline the recruitment process
- Cultivate a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need

Minimum qualifications:
- Relevant experience in in-house talent acquisition as a recruiter.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Japanese fluently.
- Passionate in Talent Acquisition function
- Can be located in Applied Materials Tokyo Japan office.
Ideal candidate's Skills and Knowledge:
- Recruiting: Mature Sourcing/interview/Offer skills. Competent on recruiting best practices (gets the basics right, consistently)
- Consultative Skill: Be a Go to for particular recruiting skills/niche areas to provide Consultative inputs
- Prioritize Work: Knows where to get priorities from
- Problem Solving: Can use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve recruiting service
- Project Management: Start to contribute to Talent Acquisition projects
- Talent Knowledge: Know the current local talent market trends and business savvy
- Semi/Display or high-Tech industrial/product knowledge is a bonus but not a must

- Customer / Stakeholder Insight: Identify opportunities to solve customer hiring issues and improve recruitment operations and service quality. Actively build partnerships with internal stakeholders and collaborating with hiring teams (HR, HM, candidate) to bring best-in class service
- Manages Change/Lead Change: Understand the business context behind changes and be able to adapt to new changes quickly.
- Navigate Tools & Technology & Data: Adapt and Be very good at navigating the new TA tools/systems or Technology and further identify opportunities to upgrade new features which can elevate efficiency. Use data to talk and collaborate.
- Integrates Teams and Organization: Facilitate collaborations across functions to fulfill customer's recruiting needs. Establish processes, team goals and individual job goals within which individuals and teams are held accountable for achieving.
