Job Profile:

Reporting to the Regional SPO Head, the manager, AIx Field Service Engineer (FSE) will be spearheading the success of the established AIx Field Service Engineering Team with the objectives of driving the digital transformation of the Field Service Organization. At a time of strong growth and transformation of the business at Applied Materials, this is a critical role and the individual within it a key member of the regional FSO team. This position holds significant importance in the productivity, service business growth and business transformation of FSO, as it plays a crucial role in maintaining market leadership and ensuring long-team success.

SPO: Strategic Program Office

AIx: Actionable Insight Accelerator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the capabilities of the AIx team to ensure continued success.
  • Drive AIx adoption and enable the field organization to be able to articulate the insights into value capture
  • Formulate and implement effective strategies for the AIx team to achieve its goals.
  • Develop AIx team capabilities to provide FSO with advanced diagnostics, predictive service insights, advanced troubleshooting while reducing errors, escalations, and service hours that drive productivity objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at both regional and global levels to develop plans, define project scopes, and pilot new initiatives in order to meet KPIs and drive business value through insights and informed decision-making.
  • Provide valuable advice to the leadership team regarding the analytical value of data, potential opportunities, and strategic approaches.

Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate and adapt in ambiguous situations.
  • Understand the complexities of change management and driving adoption across AGS stakeholders
  • Ability to act as a key influencer, change agent, and proactively seek continuous process improvement.
  • Strategic thinking that drives organizational objectives and BKMs through data driven insights, better decision making, and best outcomes
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading teams, resulting in early business achievements.
  • People management experience of engineers preferred.
  • Ability lead a group of engineers that has problem solving mind set into business outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with various stakeholders including FSO, AGS Sales, FabVantage, Digital Enablement Group (DEG), and SPG.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of Applied digital tools, their mechanisms, relevant datasets, and the subsequent impact on business operations.
  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience, including people management experience.

preferred :

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing automated production systems.
  • Systems Integration: Architect, deploy, and maintain systems like Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Equipment Automation (EAP), and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Production Oversight: Monitor automated work cells, track equipment uptime, and drive continuous improvement in factory output and yield.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze production data to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and optimize resources like materials and personnel.
  • Savvy in the seamless integration between design, logistics, and machinery.
  • Experienced in optimizing manufacturing and implementing smart factory solutions to meet key performance indicators and reduce operational costs.
