Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Provide functional and integration quality-assurance testing for features delivered on Web, iOS, OS X, and other operating systems. Build QA test plans and cases with the goal of 100% automation and reduction of regression test cycles. Build test management tools/utilities and improving existing automation platforms by producing bug patterns and troubleshooting production issues. Work closely with multi-functional organizations, project teams and clients to develop test plans, executing test plans and cases, and delivering high quality products. Identify gaps or inefficiencies in workflows and suggesting necessary process improvements. Provide project managers with timely and accurate QA status and progress during all testing phases, including summarizing QA results at project conclusion. Develop QE tools and frameworks used to monitor and analyze system performance which help in automating test data preparation. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Developing QE tools and utilities that will be used in automating testing.
- Developing frameworks to monitor and analyzing system performance.
- Investigating and troubleshooting software bugs, including generating log files devices, getting logs from the server side, opening bug reports, and following up with the development and other teams to make sure the bugs get fixed.
- Performing root cause analysis on all bugs filed and providing solutions to file bugs more effectively
- Using Java Programming Language to debug code
- Using Software Development Lifecycle knowledge to communicate across teams
- Demonstrating Computing Systems experience in troubleshooting bugs
