Full Stack Engineer, Graphics, Games, and ML

Description
In this role, you will be working directly with engineers building macOS and iOS, hearing their challenges, and crafting solutions to make their work faster and more efficient. You'll partner closely with development teams to identify pain points, prototype innovative solutions, and ship systems and frameworks that improve the work of over 500 engineers every day. You will be part of the team that owns Graphics, Gaming, and Machine Learning Build and Test systems that manage over 2,000 builds and run over a million tests daily. You will have the opportunity to identify bottlenecks and improve critical work pipelines, architect new system capabilities, and see your contributions make a real impact on the teams that develop and ship Apple features to customers worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Partner with macOS and iOS engineering teams to identify productivity bottlenecks and understand developer workflow challenges
Lead cross-functional stakeholder meetings to align on priorities, gather requirements, and
communicate project progress
Design, prototype, and deploy build and test infrastructure improvements that measurably increase engineering velocity
Capture, prioritize, and resolve user feedback and feature requests from internal engineering teams
Document system architectures, APIs, and best practices to enable team collaboration and
knowledge sharing
Monitor production systems and respond to incidents affecting build and test infrastructure availability
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Typescript Proficiency
Golang Experience
Experience working with frontend frameworks like React
Proficiency in Kubernetes
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and relevant tooling / frameworks such as Pulumi, Kustomize, and Terraform
Minimum Qualifications
Strong Python Proficiency
Experience working with gRPC and REST
Experience working in highly cross-functional environment
3 years of relevant work experience
4 years in Computer Science, Compute Engineering, Software Development or equivalent
experience
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,300 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
