Engineering Project Manager, Channels Store Product Design
As an Engineering Project Manager within the Product Design organization, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation process for our Channel Store Product Design team. Description
Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds, leading a cross-functional team from Creative, Marketing, CSO, Operations, and mechanical engineers. Set and communicate clear objectives for the build schedule, serving as the primary point of contact for the program with Contract Manufacturer (CM) partners. Lead multi-functional engineering team meetings to discuss design scope, set timelines, and ensure timely completion. You'll understand the complexities of the retail fixture development and collaborate with teams to facilitate feedback through the internal design review process. Develop project schedules and drive project discussions, including escalations
Manage certification schedules and coordinate MPS release
Manage in-person fixture reviews at US offices and International vendors
Manage BOMs, Engineering Change Orders, and Manufacturer Change Orders
Work on multiple projects simultaneously
Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management
Collaborate and facilitate communication to cross-functional partners and management to meet schedule and quality goals
Preferred Qualifications
Identify and direct all resources required to execute successful projects
Proficient in creating and maintaining project timelines, developing product strategy
Experience leading cross-functional communication between project teams and external vendors
Ability to travel internationally to support builds
Possess strong presentation skills
Understanding of technical issues and ability to drive them to closure by bringing together key stakeholders for decision-making
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to juggle multiple tasks, dates, deadlines, and deliverables
Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
Detailed knowledge of product development processes as well as a strong understanding of manufacturing processes
Experience interfacing with Operations, Mechanical Engineering/Design, and Marketing.
Minimum Qualifications
BS engineering degree required
4-8+ years of project management experience.
Experience in consumer electronic, furniture, or retail display industry
