Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Lead

The Difference You will Make:

Airbnb is seeking a Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Lead for the Spain and Portugal territory, reporting to the Country Manager. This role requires office presence in Barcelona, Spain (around 2 weeks in a month).  We are open for candidates who are based in either Madrid or Barcelona.

In this role you will lead the strategic business partnerships activities in the territory and collaborate closely with the Business, Supply, International, Product Marketing, Finance and Legal functions in territory and across EMEA.

A Typical Day: 

  • Develop concepts and frameworks for partnerships and business development projects in alignment with global brand and partnership guidelines. 
  • Identify opportunities for establishing partnerships and business development activities that support our business goals. 
  • Model the financial and strategic impact of partnerships.
  • Ensure excellent execution and ongoing management of partnerships and business development activities and seamless coordination across all business areas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential partners and collaboration opportunities.

Your Expertise:

  • 12+ years of experience in partnership related role (e.g. Business Development, Partner Management) 
    • Government bodies, Entertainment and Real Estate experience are a plus
  • Growth obsessed
  • Deep business acumen to conduct extensive market research and anticipate product and business needs
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills - ability to connect dots and proactively develop proposals and solutions
  • Strong data analysis and modeling skills, basic data science skills are a plus
  • Proven partnership management experience
  • Knowledge of the local culture and environment as crucial in fostering successful local partnerships
  • Ability to build relationships and influence internal executive stakeholders and build long-term external relationships with new and existing partners
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Able to deal with complexity and adapt to changing business priorities; strong tolerance for ambiguity

The base pay range shown below is annualized, is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
