Microsoft Excel is an extremely useful tool, and this Business Insider video will show you some simple tricks to make using it so much easier.

When I first started the job I had now, my friend Google and I spent a few hours trying to figure out how to get Excel to do something really fancy. The formula we eventually found ended up being approximately 63 numbers and letters long. I’m not joking.

Even though I’ve been using this software heavily for over two years, I still learn new Excel tricks all the time. While most of them are super simple, they can make your life so much easier and your workday that much more productive.

So, before you go back to work, take a moment to watch this video. It’s not rocket science, but even I discovered something that made my jaw drop (because I’ve been doing it the hard way for months!).

And if you know any other spreadsheet secrets, clue me in on Twitter!
