When you think of the word savor, I bet the first item that comes to mind is food. And while delighting in every bite is sure to make you enjoy your meals more, food isn’t the only thing you should relish.
Researchers say that you can increase your happiness by savoring—also known as spending time reflecting on good memories from the past or visualizing events you’re looking forward to in the future. This applies to all aspects of life, even your job.
So if you’re having a bad day at work, try reminiscing on some positive experiences you had–when you rocked that presentation, when your boss gave you stellar feedback, or when your CEO gave you a shout-out in front of the entire company.
