I went to the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma where I was studying medicine until I decided to take a year off from school—so I’m in a gap year right now.

My goal is to finish medical school and then go into anything in that field. But I’ve also always been interested in real estate. I studied construction management when I was in high school and was really fascinated by architecture and everything that goes with it.

I always felt like, at some point, I would come back to it; if not in real estate, it would be something like buying properties and having it as a side gig.

What Would You Say Keeps You Motivated in Life?

Being able to support myself. My family, they set the foundation and you want to do better than them, for them. I guess that’s my motivation.

What Piece of Advice Could You Share with Our Readers?

It’s all about resiliency. You can’t quit, you have to have discipline and keep going.

What Challenges Do You Feel Like You Face So Far When It Comes to That, Real Estate, Especially?

I have no idea what I’m doing. I guess everyone wishes they had a support system guiding them. I think adulthood is like that. You just wing it at whatever it is you’re doing.
