People's Prep

People’s Prep provides a high-performing, college-preparatory high school for Newark, New Jersey, families. Often facing tremendous academic and opportunity gaps before attending this school, students at People's Prep demonstrate a marked improvement in standardized testing, school attendance, and graduation rates. Advisors, teachers, mental health workers, and deans work with each student individually so that they're matched to and prepared for the college of their choice. People’s Prep also supports alumni for six years post graduation. Pursuing the greater good is hard work, so the school hires a diverse staff of values-driven individuals to guide their students and create a more equitable future for all. The staff works closely together and form lasting friendships with their co-workers.
