Technical Artist, Poker

Zynga Poker is looking for a Technical Artist to join their growing team in Toronto!

Responsibilities
Build, maintain and troubleshoot pipeline for in game assets.
Identify redundancies in our workflow and provide solutions for automation.
Provide feedback to artist to enhance the quality of the assets.
Create auto-rigs for existing and new games.
Help to drive and direct overall character and asset pipeline for future project needs, with tool/workflow development geared towards extensibility and flexibility for upcoming needs.
Develop and maintain tools for the production pipeline, particularly for modeling, animation, and rigging.
Write exporting tools for art assets and animations.
Build upon existing tools and scripts.
Build complex shaders in Unity and/or Maya.
A constant focus to refine techniques and processes to get them to the next level
Work closely with the Art Director to create 2D/3D assets.
Have a high Level of Materials/Shaders to achieve unique styles and hit amazing visual quality
Create, maintain, and communicate technical art guidelines and implementation techniques.
Partner with production and Product Managers to ensure schedules and plans meet business and project needs

Skills & Experience
Excellent modeling, texturing/uv skills, lighting and rendering techniques especially for VFX.
Expert level understanding of Maya, Zbrush, Unity, NGui and Photoshop
Expert knowledge of Git and Perforce
Extended rigging knowledge in Maya.
Must have worked on at least two 3D games from conception to completion.
Experience working with game engineers.
Must be well-rounded at the whole 3D pipeline, especially modelling and animation.
Understanding of the technical limitations of mobile gaming production.
Understanding of character design and animation, as it relates to rig development.
Experienced in C++ and Python.
Degree in Art or related field.

Nice To Have
Familiarity with Maya Python API.
Experience leading a design and/or art team for either iPhone or Android applications.
Experience with Substance is a plus
Traditional 2D skills are a plus.
