Senior Producer

Zynga is looking for a Senior Producer to join the Helsinki Studio.  The Producer will be the driving force within the team, owning the scheduling, planning and path to achieving the highest quality product in line with the Product Lead’s vision, ensuring that that the team is adequately resourced and equipped to deliver to a realistic date.

 

Reporting to the Executive Producer, the Producer is responsible for project reporting and general day to day project management duties, whilst also assisting in the continual improvement of the production department and its core functions (e.g. planning, resourcing, reporting, risks and issue management, process and structure).

 

Responsibilities:

  • When working in sprints, ensure the team understands the goals
  • Drive stand ups to run efficiently, with adequate information shared, progress updated and risks and issues discussed
  • Maintain high working efficiency within a team by removing all blocking issues in a timely manner
  • Identify, assess and address risks
  • Run regular retrospectives that cover issues from the team and how progress has been since the last retrospective
  • Lead the teams in estimations and committals, ensuring a representative from each discipline is present and all members of the team are involved in committing to the work that will be completed
  • Manage process changes between development stages to cause as little disruption to the teams as possible, eg, from concept to development, from development to launch, from launch to live ops
  • Build and maintain accurate product timelines for delivery throughout the product lifecycle
  • Support product lead on communicating progress on development goals towards milestones
  • Work with discipline and product leads to ensure team has the right resources and equipment to meet expected deliverables and deadlines
  • Actively pursue process improvements within the team, doing what is necessary to help the team work together at their best
  • Ensure each member of the team feels empowered and that they have ownership over their area of the product, and the overall quality of the product itself

 

Requirements:

  • At least 1 full game / software development cycle within a Production role
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Practical experience and understanding of Agile / Scrum
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Ability to track and prioritize multiple simultaneous on-going tasks
  • Creative and analytical thinker
  • A strong eye for detail and high standards of work
  • Able to see tasks through to completion
