Senior SEM/PLA Analyst

 Do you want to help grow one of Zappos key strategic businesses? The ideal candidate will be able to work both at the strategic level by generating bold and innovative ideas for growth, and also at the tactical level by creating and managing campaigns with analytics and marketing tools, analyzing customer engagement data and solving problems. Because Zappos is highly data-centric, you will have shown you know how to test robustly and measure the full impact of campaigns, using this analysis to drive consistent performance improvement. You will also have a high comfort level with online marketing measurement practices and attribution methods along with analyzing customer engagement data and solving problems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Optimizing the programs to hit company KPIs
  • Owning bid management strategy and execution
  • Monitoring and reporting of performance across Zappos' websites
  • Maximizing potential of vendor platforms by working on projects with vendors
  • Understand customer segmentation and create testing plans to optimize for acquisition
  • Monitoring and optimizing SEM and PLA performance around devices
  • Planning and implementing campaign structure strategy
  • Meeting with merchandising teams to be apprised on latest product catalog
  • Creating and implementing negative keyword strategy
  • Optimizing the product feed to leverage an optimal campaign structure
  • Monitoring feed delivery to advertising platforms
  • Analyzing of cross channel traffic and attribution

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 3 years online marketing experience, preferably the bulk in SEM
  • A minimum of two years managing and optimizing product feeds for PLA, Comparison Shopping Engines or third party marketplaces
  • Experience leading large projects with a team taking direction, such as: restructuring campaigns, ad copy optimization, sitelinks optimization and/or launching remarketing
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
  • Four year degree, preferably in marketing or a technical discipline
  • Knowledge of bid management and optimization and what levers to pull to maximize the goals of the SEM & PLA programs
  • Very strong organization, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with coworkers and account executives
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and be proactive
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Deep understanding of attribution modeling
  • A passion for negative keywords
  • Experience with Adobe Media Optimizer and Versafeed
