Brand Partnership Account Executive

What you'll be doing:
 
The 6pm Brand Partnerships Account Executive will service brand partner (vendor) accounts and attempt to grow and maximize their revenue contributions. This position will also be responsible for recapping and reporting on marketing initiatives sold, maintaining internal team relationships, and serving as a liaison to the Director of Brand Partnerships Co-Op Marketing.

Brand Partnerships / Co-Op 

  • Represent the 6pm Co-Op Marketing department; maintain excellent working relationships with brand partner decision-makers as well as develop an understanding of their marketing needs
  • Pitch brand partners on the 6pm Co-Op Marketing program; negotiate contributions and terms
  • Create and execute Co-Op Marketing Plans that align with both brand partners’ national marketing as well as 6pm merchandising plans
  • Create and manage marketing initiative planning calendars by channel for participating brand partners; manage timelines with brands and internal teams to meet deadlines for each initiative
  • Maintain budgets for all planned Co-Op Marketing initiatives
  • Effectively communicate overall 6pm Co-Op and Brand Marketing goals, objectives, and plans to both merchandising teams and brand partners
  • Attend 6pm Merchandising team meetings; travel to market tradeshows with merchandising teams on an as-needed basis
  • Attend weekly Brand Partnerships Co-Op Marketing meetings; contribute metrics and learnings from the 6pm business as well as take any pertinent learnings back to 6pm teams
  • Provide regular communication and consistent support to 6pm Merchandising; respond to questions about the Co-Op program, establish best practices, and efficient work processes

  • Create, coordinate, and execute marketing plans for 6pm brand partners participating in the Co-Op program; plan each marketing initiative with specific brand objectives in mind
  • Provide necessary proof of performance for all initiatives on a quarterly basis
  • Pull gross sales reports (on a per request basis) by brand/initiative; work with internal teams to report on metrics and additional sales analysis
  • Maintain database of participating partners’ Co-Op Marketing agreements, plans, sales reports, co-op guidelines, and quarterly recaps
  • Process Co-Op Marketing agreements; work with Accounting and Legal teams on ensuring each contract is compliant and fully executed
  • Work with Accounting on a quarterly basis to ensure timely invoicing and billing of Co-Op funds
  • Take initiative to mentor fellow Co-Op Marketing team members; take the lead on coordinating and working through bigger projects for the betterment of the Brand Partnerships Co-Op Marketing team
  • Implement documents and workflow processes to create greater efficiencies in day-to-day workload
  • Evaluate and align Co-Op Marketing strategies to be in line with 6pm company growth, expectations and objectives
 
Special Projects

Digital Display & Traditional Advertising
  • Work closely with the internal Digital Display team on all 3rd party display (desktop + mobile) advertising efforts, as well as any special opportunities for print, outdoor, etc.
  • Generating creative briefs for advertising efforts as needed
  • Request appropriate performance metrics and be able to communicate an understanding and analysis to the brand if needed
  • Work with brand partners’ marketing departments for all necessary approvals

Email Marketing

  • Work closely with the 6pm Email team to plan out 6pm Co-Op Marketing commitments within the bigger Email Marketing calendar; coordinate featured product and messaging to be on brand with 6pm as a whole
  • Request appropriate performance metrics and be able to communicate an understanding and analysis to the brand if needed
  • Work with brand partners’ marketing departments for all necessary approvals
Site Placement Marketing
  • Work closely with the 6pm Site Operations and 6pm Creative teams to plan out 6pm Co-Op Marketing commitments within the bigger Site Marketing calendar; coordinate featured product and messaging to be on brand with 6pm as a whole
  • Request appropriate performance metrics and be able to communicate an understanding and analysis to the brand if needed
  • Work with brand partners’ marketing departments for all necessary approvals

Social Media Marketing
  • Work closely with the internal Social Media team to plan out 6pm Co-Op Marketing commitments within the bigger Social Marketing calendar; coordinate featured product and messaging to be on brand with 6pm as a whole
  • Request appropriate performance metrics and be able to communicate an understanding and analysis to the brand if needed
  • Work with brand partners’ marketing departments and legal/tax for all necessary approvals
What you'll bring to the table:
  • High school degree required
  • College degree in marketing or related field preferred
  • 5+ years working in marketing
  • Demonstrated knowledge in working with marketing and advertising; online/interactive initiatives preferred
  • Strives to be an exceptional team player with a dedication to learning new ideas and growing professionally and personally
  • Strong communication skills, a strong worth ethic, positive energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for sales and relationship management
  • Ability to work flexible hours to participate in evening and weekend events as well as traveling for tradeshows
  • Excellent organizational and detail-orientation skills
  • Ability to prepare creative briefs and business documents in a clear and concise manner
  • Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently with little supervision
