SEO Specialist II
The SEO Fulfillment Team utilizes SEO best practices to develop an SEO strategy for the client and fully implement the SEO strategy. The Specialist, SEO II will utilize their learned SEO expertise and to perform keyword research and craft creative deliverables based on the client’s SEO strategy and intended audience, and is responsible for ensuring all monthly client deliverables are met in line with the client’s industry, branding, and SEO best practices. The Specialist, SEO II is responsible for the Fulfillment direction and performance of the SEO campaign.
Upon being assigned the account, the Specialist, SEO II will perform all SEO tasks s/he is accountable for, including researching appropriate keyword phrases to focus on during the client’s campaign, identifying areas of SEO opportunity, tracking client performance, performing link building tasks, social media, SEO copywriting, blog post writing, etc.
The Specialist, SEO II will be responsible for completing monthly client SEO tasks, as outlined in the client’s product, potentially requiring the Specialist, SEO II to complete one or more of the following tasks for the client:
•Writing creative SEO copy intended to attract the attention of search engines, propelling them to rank the client’s website higher, as well as interesting and useful for the client’s demographic and intended audience. The Specialist, SEO II must be able to vary their writing style to meet the tone of the intended audience, as well as appropriately research the subject matter involved.
•Analyzing the client’s industry and formulating a link building strategy that can result in maximum success for the client. The Specialist, SEO II will then execute this strategy on behalf of the client and is responsible for all required follow-through.
•Writing and uploading interesting, SEO-friendly blog posts for the client’s blog to encourage search engines to crawl the blog, increase blog readership, and propel more websites to link to the client’s website. The Specialist, SEO II will brainstorm and use their imagination to write on interesting topics, and appropriately research the subject matter.
•After developing a strategy for the client’s social media campaign, the Specialist, SEO II will build all needed social media campaigns to reflect the client’s brand personality. The Specialist, SEO II will then post and interact with other social media users on the client’s behalf.
•Researching an appropriate press release topic, consulting with the client on the topic, and writing the press release to be both interesting and SEO-friendly. The Specialist, SEO II will then syndicate the press release and report on the press release statistics.
•Providing SEO consulting to the Account Manager on the client’s behalf. The Specialist, SEO II will utilize their SEO industry expertise to provide the Account Manager with SEO best practices and advise the client on any SEO questions s/he has. The Specialist, SEO II is required to read SEO and social media blogs and attend SEO and social media webinars to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends.
The Specialist, SEO II is responsible for decision-making and implementation of the client’s SEO strategy. As a result, the Specialist, SEO II’s expertise, strategy creation, originality and talent has a direct impact on the success of the account.
•Strong communication skills, including grammar and spelling, in order to skillfully write creative SEO copy, blog posts, and press releases
•Effective decision-making skills are also a must, as the Specialist, SEO II must be able to use his/her expertise and creativity to determine the direction of the account.
•Strong analytics skills are also needed, as the Specialist, SEO II must analyze the client’s industry and determine appropriate keyword phrases to target, understand web analytics programs that highlight the client’s SEO success, and make strategy decisions based on those results.
•Well-organized and able to manage a large portfolio of client tasks
•Proficient in conducting research online
•Must be self-motivated to achieve results and have the ability to self-direct
•Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Efficient approach to problem solving
•Able to wear many hats within the company
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or other related field (or comparable years of work experience)
