Job Description:

Yodle, a Web.com company, empowers small businesses to succeed by delivering innovative, fresh solutions to start, run, and grow their businesses.

Our Growth Solutions team delivers products that make online marketing easy, affordable, and transparent for our 40,000+ customers. Our unique paid advertising and scaled SEO platforms are key pillars of many of our product offerings within the company. The enormous scale of our customer performance data across multiple industries is a significant competitive and performance advantage.

Yodle is ranked #9 on the 2014 Forbes list of America’s most promising companies and has won multiple awards for its business growth, job creation, technology innovation, and workplace and culture. It is one of only three companies in the local space to drive consistent profits at scale.

We are currently seeking a Director of Product Management to lead our internal tools & enterprise systems teams to the next level. Reporting to the SVP of Product & Design, this candidate will work with multiple business stakeholders in Sales, Client Services, Marketing, Finance and Product to prioritize building and maintaining tools that are essential to Yodle’s continued success and to support scalable growth.

This candidate will lead a team that determines the vision and the product roadmap for tools including a proprietary CRM system for a 600+ strong sales organization, account management & service tooling, third-party platforms such as Salesforce & Marketo, as well as Yodle’s billing, product catalog, and data & reporting infrastructure. This candidate will work very closely with the executive team and must have demonstrated leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities

•We believe in the philosophy of product managers as CEOs of their respective products. Your team’s primary responsibility will be for the overall success of our enterprise systems & internal tools as well as setting and executing its strategy.
•To form that strategy, you will gather information from a variety of sources: customer research, sales and service data, internal customer’s needs, user behavior, etc.
•You’ll work with senior leadership to align the company around your product strategy, roadmap and milestones. You’ll oversee major cross-functional efforts that pull together team members from such departments as sales, service, finance, marketing, and more.
•As the leader of several internal tools areas including sales & service tooling, business applications, billing & reporting, you’ll integrate plans into and drive execution to a comprehensive release schedule.
•You’ll prioritize and allocate resources against an array of simultaneously running projects, from making build-buy-partner decisions (with appropriate analysis to match) along with bringing major new features all the way from conception to market and into ongoing maintenance.
•We believe that collaboration is the key to great product development, which means you will work closely with our engineering and UX leadership to keep our fast-paced, iterative agile software development operation humming and producing lots of valuable, quality software.
•This individual will be responsible for balancing the risk of overinvestment in documentation with their team’s responsibility for producing the key personas, workflows, scenarios, and stories necessary to effectively communicate business context and goals.
•You’ll mentor & develop your dynamic team of product managers.

Requirements:

•Strong strategic thinking ability and demonstrated business acumen
•Demonstrated ability to hire and lead high performing teams
•Proven success in defining, building, and releasing software-based offerings that drive customer or end-user ROI
•Experience working with Agile software development processes
•Experience with managing the integration of third party SaaS or on-premise applications
•Experience with conducting build vs buy software analysis
•Strong project management and execution skills.
•Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation
•Experience in and comfort with collaborating with user experience teams
•Experience in and comfort with formal customer research
•Expertise in assessing and interpreting market trends
•Ability to effectively gather requirements, digging beyond requests to get to needs
•Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
•Strong consensus- and relationship-building skills, with experience marshaling resources across an organization
•Ability to quickly grasp concepts and solve complex problems
•An intellectual approach to problem solving that welcomes debate without posturing in the pursuit of the best answer

Minimum Experience Required:

•7-10+ years experience in software product management or related experience
•3+ years experience with CRM, BI and analytics, Q2C or ERP systems
•3+ years of managing direct reports
•Strong technical background
