REPORTS TO: Director – Student Information Systems

JOB GOAL: The SIS Coordinator will ensure data accuracy and efficient use of the student information system by providing effective technical support and training to eSchoolPlus users. This includes regularly monitoring data input in the student information system and ensuring data is in compliance with all state, federal and organizational policies and procedures.

ILLUSTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Provides application technical support and training to eSchoolPlus users remotely via Skype/Lync or by traveling to campus sites;
  • Assists in updating eSchoolPlus training materials for the purpose of instruction and reference;
  • Participates in meetings around student information system capabilities and procedures;
  • Assist in state and federal compliance and reporting needs of student information system stakeholders;
  • Ensures compliance with all state, federal and organizational policies and procedures with regards to student data;
  • Maintains and updates eSchoolPlus user and access accounts;
  • Performs and monitors student information system nightly runs;
  • Responds to data requests by home office personnel and outside agencies;
  • Prepares and creates various reports using the Cognos Reporting tool;
  • Collaborates with the Achievement Analyst to ensure state test scores are accurately uploaded and maintained in eSchoolPlus;
  • Maintains Home Access Center (HAC) district and building configuration updates;
  • Assists in testing eSchoolPlus version upgrades to ensure quality and effective implementation;
  • Manages the service ticket console system by assigning tickets submitted to the Student Information System Team;
  • Regularly updates training material and resources on the Student Data Management 365 Site;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the effective functioning of the SIS team;
  • Resolves assigned incidents on issues submitted by eSchoolPlus users using the service console ticket system;
  • Maintains Registration and Withdrawal district and building configuration updates;
  • Maintains Student Success Planner district and building configuration updates;
  • Collaborates with Lottery Coordinator to ensure registration procedures are aligned with student information system.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution or equivalent experience preferred

Experience

  • Two (2) years experience within a secondary school environment. School-based administrative experience preferred
  • Proficient with eSchoolPLUS operation and management
  • Power user level proficiency with Cognos reporting and analysis suite as integrated into SIS
  • Knowledge and experience with Content Management methodologies and procedures, deep understanding of student registration processes, course scheduling processes, and other core campus SIS processes.
  • Proficient in current MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

COMMITMENT AND COMPENSATION:

Length of Work Year:

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position ; evening and weekend commitments also will be required.
