JOB TITLE: Campus Receptionist – East End (IMMEDIATE OPENING)

REPORTS TO: Campus Operations Manager

JOB GOAL: The Campus Receptionist assists the YES Prep Campus through administrative, office support, and special projects. The Receptionist owns the office support piece on campus and facilitates an efficient work environment for all employees, in addition to serving as a translator for the administrative team. As a member of the Main Office Team, this position will manage the front desk and administer the daily functions of keeping the office operating efficiently.


  • Greet and assist all incoming parents, students, and visitors
  • Maintain and administer the telephone system by answering and processing all incoming calls in an efficient and rapid manner; be solutions oriented in managing telephone system.
  • Maintain appealing physical environment including reception area, storage rooms, conference rooms, and other rooms as requested
  • Assist in student attendance tracking
  • Provide support for teachers, staff, students and parents as requested
  • Filter and distribute office mail and faxes
  • Help manage and facilitate Main Office procedures such as supply requests, copy requests, laminating requests, and other requests as needed
  • Implement standards, policies, and procedures for filing, records maintenance, and other clerical services
  • Serve as the medical attendee for minor student issues and concerns as they arise on campus
  • Manage daily administrative operations including establishing work priorities, and resolving problems related to day-to-day operations of the office
  • Create school monthly calendars
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Serve as appropriate role model for YES Prep colleagues, students, staff, and parents;

  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice, with little to no direction;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with others.


The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:


  • Associates Degree (preferred)


  • Must have at least 2 years of an exemplary record working in a fast-paced office environment

Skills and Mindsets:

  • Bilingual in Spanish (required);
  • Excellent organizational skills including time management and follow-up;
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems;
  • Ability to analyze, develop, establish, and maintain efficient office work flow and administrative processes
  • Strong command of word processing including exemplary spelling and grammar skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

  • Frequent prolonged and irregular hours of duty
  • Some light manual labor
  • Endure inclement weather conditions to provide for student safety


Length of Work Year:

11-month position; This is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position; Evening and weekend commitments also may be required
