User Acquisition Lead

Yelp is seeking a rockstar user acquisition specialist looking for an exciting challenge! We are building a world-class performance marketing organization and are looking to bring top talent to help us achieve our ambitious goals.

The Performance Marketing team is a newly formed growth engine at Yelp. Our charter is to drive profitable acquisition of users across platforms and marketing channels (in-app mobile ads, paid search, video and more) and grow the Yelp brand using a multi-million dollar annual budget. One of the most exciting things about this role is that you’ll have the opportunity to shape the team as it grows at Yelp. Despite early success, we’re still relatively new and are building out processes and paving our path when it comes to testing new channels, building our technology stack, and partnering across the org. What you'd be doing:

  • Drive significant user (consumer) growth via app installs by engaged users
  • Build, manage, monitor, test and optimize campaigns (e.g. Facebook, Google, and many others) to increase performance
  • Work with creative team on concepting new ad themes and ideas
  • Perform analysis to calculate how our branding campaigns have influenced growth in a few test markets in the US
  • Lead exploratory conversations with potential advertising and technology partners that will allow us to accelerate user growth

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Computer Science or other quantitative field
  • 2 - 5 years experience in mobile user acquisition at scale on a B2C mobile app, gaming app, or a mobile performance agency with 6-digit monthly spend
  • Experience in performance-based marketing, utilizing video, display, DSPs and RTBs with demonstrated understanding of CPA, CPM, CPC, ARPU and LTV
  • Experience with Facebook Mobile App Install campaigns and Power Editor
  • Analytical, data-driven, results-oriented, self-starter
  • Advanced usage of Excel including data analysis, vlookups and pivot tables. Big plus for SQL and Tableau
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic
