Product UX Researcher - Intern - Summer 2019

We're looking for a User Experience (UX) Research Intern to help us create great experiences for our users. Come join us for summer 2019!

You Will

  • Partner closely with Design, Product Management, Engineering, and across the company, to advocate for the user experience
  • Help ensure usability and improve user experience across Consumer and Business products
  • Design and lead user research studies to identify actionable insights
  • Analyze, report and present research findings to cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with amazing colleagues to hone and iterate on your ideas

Responsibilities

  • Scope research projects and develop clear/detailed research plans/proposals that outline the research goals, hypotheses, participant characteristics and methods
  • Recruit, field and conduct research with our users (Consumers and Businesses) and maybe also non-users and potential users, to help us better understand who they are and what they need
  • Execute on qualitative and quantitative methods and synthesize findings
  • Communicate insights, to cross-functional teams and executives, in creative ways to increase customer centricity

Requirements

  • Full-time student, pursuing a degree in user experience design human-computer interaction, information science, social sciences, or a related field
  • Experience working as a researcher on collaborative projects (research for class projects is a-ok)
  • Knowledge of UX research methods and familiarity with research tools like SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Lookback or UserTesting Experience creating research reports/presentations (in PPT, Slides, or Keynote)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
