Summer Student Nurse Intern Program 2017


If you are a student nurse seeking additional clinical experience, start your nursing career with the Greenwich Hospital summer Student Nurse Intern (SNI) program. This is a paid mentorship offering student nurses a unique opportunity to expand their clinical knowledge by providing direct patient care, reinforcing nursing skills, and increasing clinical competency in practice. As an SNI, you will work with a team of highly skilled, experienced Registered Nurses.  

  • Regular meetings with educators, nurse managers, and team members
  • Opportunity to attend the various in-services and education programs offered at Greenwich Hospital


Basic Qualifications- To be considered for a Student Nurse internship, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing and must be entering your senior year
  • Be a certified CPR Health Care Provider
  • Be available to commit to 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday) for 10 weeks
  • Be able to attend the program between May 30th and August 4th. It is mandatory to attend the entire Intern Orientation Program first week (Tuesday 5/30 – Friday 6/2 all day)


Application Process Includes:

  • Completion of the Greenwich Hospital online application
  • Short narrative explaining your interest in the program and what you would hope to achieve
  • At time of interview: Two (2) letters of recommendation and recent school transcript (unofficial)
