Scheduling Associate, Rye Brook, NY

Working within the parameters set up by the ancillary departments, schedules patients in a timely and efficient manner following all payment guidelines and ensuring customer satisfaction.



  • 1. Must work within the parameters set up by the departments for the individual tests to schedule patients in a timely and efficient manner keeping within the phone queue customer service guidelines.
  • 2. Ensures that all orders are received and that medical necessity is met by checking with teh 3M software, working with physician's offices and the patient is issues are identified.
  • 3. Working closely with the physician offices and the patients to ensure the accuracy of all information obtained such as demographic, insurance and physician information including the acquiring of authorizations, waiver letters, ABNs of NEMBs when necessary.
  • 4. Promotes the Greenwich Hospital's Service Excellence Program with everyone they come in contact with in person or on the phone.



High school degree required, college degree preferred.


Admitting/Registration/Authorization or Scheduling experience required


Strong customer service, communication, organizational and computer skills; Meditech experience, federal, state and managed care third party payer regulations, policies and procedures and ICD-9, CPT and HCPC coding knowledge preferred.


Moderate amount of walking required, some stress and overtime. Standard office environment with normal noise level. Exposure to hazardous items found in an office setting.
