JOB SUMMARY
*Multiple Positions Available
The primary functions of the Nurse Practitioner will be to provide comprehensive care to the patients and consultation service to the patients direct care team under the supervision of the Attendings, and as directed by established protocols. In collaboration with the Health care team, the Nurse Practitioner will provide continuity of care to patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings to achieve optimal patient outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- 1. Clinical Practice:
- 1.1 Assumes primary patient care responsibility for patients in a specific program under the supervision of the Attendings.
- 2. Education:
- 2.1 Identifies learning needs of team members, patients and families. Provides bedside teaching and supervision of procedures.
- 3. Research:
- 3.1 May support the research mission through collaboration with investigators and protocol personnel.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
MSN required. Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program. Current Connecticut APRN license (or eligible).
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Excellent basic knowledge with clinical skills and judgment. Possess analytical skills to evaluate care needs, ability to gather relevant clinical date, perform through physical examinations, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, communication and leadership activities and exhibit good judgment and tact dealing with patients, families, and allied health professionals. Computer skills preferred.
