Physician Assistant- Hospitalist Service


The primary function of the night Physician Assistant (PA) is to provide comprehensive care to inpatients in collaboration with Attending physicians. Each PA has a designated supervising/collaborating physician. Duties include, but are not limited to, admissions, cross-coverage and discharges. PAs are also responsible for ordering and analyzing tests, communication with consultants and coordinating care for a panel of patients. Pay is very competitive and benefits are excellent.


Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art degree and graduation from an accredited master’s degree PA program required. Certified as a PA by the NCCPA.

Experience: New grads considered, one (1) to two (2) years caring for hospitalized patients preferred.

Special Skills: Excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Licensure: Both hold a valid Connecticut medical license, Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration and Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification.
