Responsibilities

To assist with grossing a variety of pathology specimens from simple biopsies to complicated surgical cases.    May require photography of specimens, preparation of tissue for microscopy and advanced studies.    Prepare specimens for frozen sections.     

Qualifications

The candidate must be able to maintain area equipment and keep the work area clean.     Wearing of Personal protective equipment is required for performing duties.    Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 15 lbs.     Must be familiar with Co-Path Laboratory system.   Must be able to use a digital dictation system.
