APPLICATION ANALYST II

Overview

Functions as the primary contact and expert for the application. Working under general direction, builds, installs and supports applications. Coordinates all issues that arise during the project . Primary responsibilities include : analyzing work flows and understanding policies, procedures and constraints of the business operations. In depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality is required. Work with users to determine project needs, develop proposals, and recommend opportunities for technological and work flow improvement. Function as the primary contact to support the implementation of new projects and upgrades as well as troubleshoot problems and questions from end ?users during training, go-live and post go-live periods. Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position. Successful candidates have an interest in emerging technologies and enjoy working with people to identify how technology can effectively support business needs.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Application Implementation and Support
    • 1.1 Supports application implementation and maintenance including analysis, planning and preparation.
  • 2. Teamwork
    • 2.1 Creates and maintains regular status reports to Manager.
  • 3. Documentation
    • 3.1 Documents and maintains all required system design and build documents and configures system accordingly.
  • 4. Other
    • 4.1 Provides training to other IT staff and user clients as appropriate.
  • 5. Infor Responsibilities
    • 5.1 Oversees, designs and manages interdependencies of all systems modules and interfaces

Qualifications

EDUCATION

 

Bachelors degree in related field preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum 5 years experience in Healthcare and/or technology strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as a Systems Analyst is required. Ability to analyze workflow to recommend and develop application solutions. Ability to research and interpret data ; to include reporting, preparing and presenting data. Healthcare or Infor experience preferred.

 

LICENSURE

 

Infor Certification: Certification in the applicable Infor module is required within 6 months of hire.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

 

Ability to analyze workflow to recommend and develop application solutions. Ability to research and interpret data ; to include reporting, preparing and presenting data. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision and ability to deal with simultaneous tasks, communicate effectively, problem solve, and develop creative solutions to complex problems required. Strong organizational. problem solving and listening skills, attention to detail, innovative thinking and ability to inspire others required. Must possess a high level of customer service skills and participate as strong, collaborative team player. Capable of taking leadership role in managing end user relationships. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools required.

 

PHYSICAL DEMAND

 

Travel to multiple YNHHS facilities is necessary.

 

Additional Information

This position is currently in North Haven, CT, but may move to Stratford, CT within the next 18 months. Any interested candidate must be willing to work in the Stratford, CT location in the near future.
