We are seeking a talented retail or hospitality manager excited to join our team as a Studio Manager in Orchard Park, NY. A WW Studio Manager channels a passion for a healthy lifestyle, customer service, and proven business leadership into leading and inspiring members and supporting them at every step of their wellness and weight loss journey, helping them to develop healthy habits by eating healthier, while enjoying foods they love, moving more, and shifting their mindset.  A WW Studio Manager is responsible for leading a talented Studio Team of employees in providing a best-in-class wellness programming, weight loss support, and full-service retail experience to members.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving WW Business:

  • Executes business plans that include membership and retail goals, flexing business strategies and personal selling techniques to contribute to overall studio and financial results
  • Responsible for recruiting and retaining membership
  • Demonstrates high level of customer service and hospitality, modeling cultivating member engagement with WW program and tools and ensures member satisfaction with in-studio experience. Resolves escalated member issues, as required
  • Leverages social media and other platforms to engage with the WW community and to support in workshop growth and member retention
  • Deeply understands local market and complementary and competitive offerings, and potential impact on business performance, and develops and delivers appropriate business plan
  • Builds credibility and trust through passion for and modeling of WW brand and healthy lifestyle, for both team and members
  • Analyzes and manages studio profit and loss statements
  • Ensures that all company-wide initiatives are executed in the studio
  • Enrolls and processes members in computer-based system and conducts sales transactions
  • Identifies members’ needs and goals through effective questioning skills and active listening to tailor recommendations of WW products and offerings and to drive sales, seeking to understand and using knowledge to help build healthy habits

People Leadership:

  • Builds and cultivates a talented, high-performing team through effective networking, hiring, onboarding, assessing, developing, giving and seeking feedback, and coaching a team of employees across multiple Studio Team roles
  • Leads with honesty and respect, and creates an inspiring, fun, and healthy work environment. Holds team and self accountable at all times
  • Motivates team to meet membership and sales goals through sales strategies, techniques for sourcing new members, and maintaining on-going productive relationships with members
  • Resolves employee relations issues and complaints, finding best solutions and outcomes
  • Continually evaluates employee and studio performance and takes appropriate action to enhance profitability, efficiency, and positive customer experience

WW Brand:

  • Understands and drives delivery of the community experience in an on-brand and consistent way; responsible for delivering WW experience standards across all studio touchpoints
  • Serves as expert in WW’s scientifically-proven methodology for building healthy habits, weight loss, and holistic wellness, incorporating moving, mindset, and the WW food program
  • Actively seeks opportunities in the community to build on-brand partnerships, attract new members, and create brand awareness
  • Acts as a WW brand ambassador and anticipates community’s needs
  • Represents the WW brand at internal and external community events
  • Builds strong connections within the community and executes WW marketing locally as required
Studio Operations:
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen; strategically forecasts, plans and budgets to the needs of the business (e.g., scheduling and staffing)
  • Ensures visual and retail merchandising standards are executed
  • Manages saleable product inventory and executes all pricing, promotion, and markdown strategies
  • Manages daily operational tasks according to WW standards including selling and service expectations, operations, payroll, people (including staffing/finding coverage), and loss prevention
  • Interacts and communicates with manager on a regular basis to keep them informed and participates in market calls and meetings with peers with partnership from key vendors as required
  • Maintains interior and exterior upkeep of the Studio and all company assets, with partnership from key vendors as required
  • Understands and uses all retail systems and reporting tools
  • Adheres to all retail policies and procedures including POS and Operations procedures
  • Performs other administrative and studio-related and operational tasks as required

Additional Qualifications:

  • Business acumen
  • 3-5 years retail management experience; strong and aspirational brand experience preferred
  • Passion for wellness, healthy lifestyle, and WW brand
  • Savvy in using social media platforms (e.g., Facebook and Instagram)
  • Superior customer service experience
  • Experience with point of sale/point of purchase technology
  • Must own a smartphone
  • Excellent active listening and communication skills
  • Computer skills (e.g., Google web-based applications)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends, and busy seasons
