Connect’s mission is to provide members with a community focused on building healthy habits for real life. The Connect core team spans products such as the feed, posting, search and video. The team will discover and build new social experiences that help members be inspired through member stories, learn through relevant content and feel supported through social interactions in a safe environment. As our Product Manager for Connect Core, you will also need to keep close tabs on what’s happening in the wellness and social network space. With the support of a Scrum Master, you will work closely with a team of developers, designers, and QA testers, and collaborate closely with the brand, content, science and program teams to build an engaging experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize feature development, build consensus among stakeholders, and partner with engineers and designers to ship high-quality experiences
  • Research trends regarding social networks to develop and pitch recommendations for partners and the product roadmap
  • Act as product owner to define new features to be built, write user stories and acceptance criteria and groom stories with developers and designers
  • Integrate usability studies, user research, market insights, and user feedback into product requirements to ensure products satisfy user needs as well as wants
  • Inform product decisions with quantitative data on user behavior and experimentation (a/b testing)
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and related ceremonies
  • Coordinate with other product teams on new product/platform launches and to ensure the cohesiveness of the overall user experience

Job requirements

  • 2+ years of product management experience in a similar role 
  • Experience and passion for community
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong user experience sensibilities and appreciation for minimal interface design
  • Comfortable with technology, able to conceptually understand APIs and services-based product development, ability to partner closely with engineers to solve problems
  • Strong use of analytics, user research and business cases to drive decisions and improve products
  • Experience working for a startup, or as a designer, engineer or analyst a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
