The Patent and Innovation Strategies group has an immediate opening for Temporary Patent Records Assistant. There is a possibility that this position may become a permanent one. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience with patent records. The responsibilities of this candidate include but are not limited to uploading invoices into database; monitoring general mailbox; organizing and maintaining electronic files; maintaining loose filing; opening new clients and matters; processing electronic mail received from United States Patent and Trademark Office or foreign patent offices; processing files in connection with off-site storage; and working on other projects and tasks as necessary.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, flexible, results-oriented, and a self-starter. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong computer skills, and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate also possesses the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced team environment. Knowledge regarding records databases and working within a paperless system is extremely beneficial. Occasional overtime work may be necessary.
