Senior Manager of Applications
The Senior Manager of Applications, under the direction of Senior Director of Operations and Applications , is responsible for managing the firm’s applications, processes and support team, assuring. The position is also accountable for providing expertise and support in the areas of application development, architecture and life cycle. The candidate is expected to understand the application lifecycle and how to apply a disciplined approach to security that takes the business needs of the firm into account.
Responsible for leading a group of highly skilled technical application engineers, development and support across a global company. Your top priority will be to interpret data, coach, mentor and lead team members with the ultimate goal of driving improvements in products, delivery, development and service-level agreements through collaboration and communication amongst the Information Technology team.
Provide subject matter expertise in application development as it relates to networks and systems
Analyzing and relating a variety of data sources to develop and manage KPIs relevant to your team's operations.
Driving efficiency through repeatable workflow while avoiding the unnecessary process.
Leading a team of technical systems analysts in resolving enterprise customer issues, and in administering internal technical assets.
Coordinate with appropriate parties to ensure the timely deployment of operating system and application security patches, deployment of security applications and currency of security application patch levels.
Creating consistency in the team’s execution by setting clear direction and expectations.

The Senior Manager of Applications will be responsible for supervision of two Managers and a team of 10 technical application staff, consisting of developers, programmers and application support.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with people from both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Exceptional written and oral presentation skills.
Experienced manager and leader of technical support and or systems administrators with proven success in the role.
Can effectively communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical individuals.
Knowledge and experience with varying information technology processes and tools.
Experience in acquiring, analyzing and interpreting complex data as it relates to software application behavior, customer experience, and a service level agreement.
B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent experience in the support field.
* Experience working in a law firm or professional services firm environment is a plus
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
Strong technical and analytical skills with a background in troubleshooting software applications, Windows, SQL, scripting, and networking. You are expected to remain technical while leading the team. Expect to write SQL statements, parse through log and XML files, automate repeated tasks, provision users and resources, and interact with customers on technical issues.
Proven mentorship skills, with demonstrated ability to listen, identify root cause, creative problem solving, and drive impact to individual's and team's performance.
The Senior Manager of Applications will report to the Senior Director of Operations & Applications
The Senior Manager of Applications will maintain office hours totaling at least 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday, although he/she will be expected to work additional hours as required. Flexibility with working hours may also be required.
