Performance Test

Want to set the performance for an exciting financial product with some of the best views in London (possible bias)?  We are looking for an experienced Performance Tester who has worked with highly skilled agile teams and can act as an internal consultant in Performance Engineering by putting in place a robust and maintainable solution for performance baselines and enhancement across various systems.


The role:

As part of a performance test team, you will:

  • Shape the company's baseline of performance
  • Pass your passion for performance onto the teams
  • Set the requirements for the performance test environment
  • Aid in setting up the performance test environment
  • Set baselines for the performance tests
  • Set requirements for the performance scenarios to be tested
  • Set the workload model for performance tests
  • Ensure performance tests have the ability to be used for migrating to cloud in the future

You are:

  • Experienced in performance testing
  • Experience as an engineer with monitoring and load simulators
  • Knowledgeable on cloud based architecture
  • Skilled using SQL relational database management system
  • Knowledgeable on API performance testing
  • Knowledgeable on event driven architecture and queueing services


What you need to know:

We expect the following knowledge:

  • Familiarity with CI (Eg. Jenkins, Bamboo (Atlasian suite))
  • Scalability, concurrent, high-availability environment familiarity
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to express opinions
  • Best practices for Performance test and how to encourage them
  • How to provide performance criterion and metrics for teams
  • How to explore and report on performance deterioration of code/config
  • Setting up of end to end performance testing (Requirements, set-up, test scripts, test execution)
