Partnership & Ecommerce Manager

The World First Partnerships team is responsible for acquiring, developing and maintaining a network of key affiliate and strategic partners, and working closely with those partners to increase client interest and revenue. The eCommerce team is responsible for acquiring individuals and business selling globally through international marketplaces. Our product offering is unique and awareness in the online market space is growing rapidly.

Due to our continued growth in both areas, we are looking for an experienced Sales and Relationship individual with management experience to join and lead the team.

The role:

  • This is both a challenging and exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the continued growth and success of World First. You will be working within a key revenue stream, building on existing eCommerce and partnerships and seeking new opportunities to expand on business growth. Your key responsibilities will be:

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Management responsibilities:
    • Managing the eCommerce and Partnership team, which focuses on expanding and maintaining our partner accounts, across a number of verticals and acquiring new international sellers This will include;
  • Accountability for the P&L of the desks
  • Driving new acquisition channels to support inbound registrations/leads
  • Designing relevant procedures and guidelines on relationship management activity to drive commercial outcomes for the team, including; deciding on key milestones within the partner cycle and working with your team to complete these and achieve commercial objectives
  • Responsibility for recruitment, staff training, development, mentoring and performance management
  • Managing key relationship across our marketplace partners
  • Working with senior internal stakeholders to continuously improve our Partnership product portfolio, as well as ensuring we have the relevant resource internally to deliver on SLA agreements for current and future partnerships
  • Managing an eCommerce team whose tasks including:
    • Acquiring new business through inbound and outbound methods (telephone, events, meetups)
    • Focussing on the conversion of new clients to actively trading
    • Ensuring the highest standards of client care are adhered to at all times
    • Meeting outgoing client contact targets
    • Maintaining a high rate of client retention
    • Actively managing the book to ensure steady revenue growth from active clients

Strategic relationship management and acquisition responsibilities:

  • Lead all efforts in growing commercial relationships with our highest value partners, in alignment with global strategic objectives
  • Designing and executing partnership strategies, and ensuring delivery of SLAs
  • Building strong and mutually profitable partnerships through both telephone and face-to-face methods with a long-term strategic focus. This will involve building relationships with senior management of global corporations, to understand the FX requirements of their client base and how World First can service them most effectively
  • Designing and executing partnership strategies, and ensuring delivery of SLAs
  • Executing activities that support revenue KPAs for each partner, including;
  • Day to day relationship management for partners
  • Understanding the World First Partnerships product set in order to expand revenue opportunities with existing partners
  • Understanding partner goals and strategy in order to best add value to partner
  • Partner affiliate and channel engagement, to maximize uptake of nascent business lines
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to engage subject matter experts (i.e. marketing, dealing teams, compliance)
  • Working in collaboration with our partners and internal teams to produce relevant marketing material, assess IT/web product solution requirements and on-site partner training requirements
  • Escalation of risks versus agreed objectives and activities

Other responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the marketing, other sales and implementation teams to ensure the smooth and successful on-boarding of an expanding portfolio of partners, including some the largest eCommerce marketplaces globally
  • Understand the World First product set in order to develop innovative integrations with our partners
  • Working in collaboration with our partners and internal teams to produce relevant marketing material, assess IT/web product solution requirements and on-site partner training requirements

Key Skills/Competencies:

  • Have significant experience leading and developing teams, within a sales and relationship management environment. This will include all elements of staff management, as well as leading a team to achieve set commercial objectives
  • Proven individual success managing high value, complex corporate partnerships
  • Possess a strategic mindset with the ability to develop and executive long term strategic plans for your partner accounts
  • Have the aptitude to think laterally to develop the best fit solution for strategic partner accounts and their clients
  • Ideally have sound knowledge of white label solutions and API products
  • Have experience managing and developing long term strategic relationships with proven delivery of SLAs and financial targets
  • Possess strong organisational and project management skills; ability to deliver on marketing and technical projects alongside in house teams
  • Desire to become an expert in designated vertical
  • Be highly motivated and determined, with a desire to contribute significantly to overarching commercial objectives
  • Have previous experience working for or closely with eCommerce businesses or marketplaces (Highly desirable)
  • Possess strong organisational and project management skills; ability to deliver on marketing and technical projects alongside in house teams
  • Have excellent communication skills including Public speaking experience to small groups (virtual seminars and face to face meetups)
  • Be highly motivated and determined, with a desire to contribute significantly to overarching commercial objectives
  • Personable and good with people, a good team player

Remuneration:

  • Basic salary: Dependant on experience
  • Package will include discretionary bonus and commission opportunity
