Legal Manager - International Development

The Role:

This is a new role for the business and will form part of the small, busy but growing in-house legal team.  As part of World First’s continued growth, we are looking to expand our presence and operations globally. We are looking for a Legal Manager to support the Head Legal in researching new markets and to assist with the implementation of the international development strategy of World First.

This role has a strong international element and will require a commons sense approach to minimizing risk. This role has a broad remit advising on commercial and corporate legal issues, including regulatory licencing, data protection issues, governance structures and will get involved with employment, commercial leases and other issues as they arise. The successful candidate will be able to adapt their approach to the needs of the business and advise the business on general commercial issues in a rapidly changing business environment.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Qualified lawyers with 3-5 years PQE
  • Financial services, particularly Payment Services experience is preferred
  • Strategic thinker with strong researching skills
  • Be comfortable instructing and managing external counsel;
  • Have strong communication skills and relationship building qualities to maintain existing and build new relationship
  • You will also be a commercially minded and a results focused individual
