*Unpaid* Social Media/Content internship
USM Social Media/Content intern:
Passionate start-up looking to find the right person to build an audience on social media. The US Militia (USM) is a member-based, centrist organization that advocates for the rights of gun ownership as well as respect and responsibility for weaponry and gun culture. The intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order boost the morale surrounding this new venture. Your goal is to grow social media audience by crafting compelling content that inspires, educates, and entertains our social communities.
Who are you?
A recent college grad looking to further their experience working with social media. You’re a go-getter and determined to get the right audience behind our organization. You’re always looking for something new to apply your skills to.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for social media, experience with different platforms (ie. Reddit, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.), superb writing skills, and dedication. You enjoy drafting social media content that will build your audience.
You should have prior experience with newsletter writing, blog posts, and growth hacking.
This position will start unpaid,, but with the right person demonstrating the skills necessary for success, there is the option this will become paid. A writing sample should be available upon request.
- Must be based in NYC
- Social media experience
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, and/or Marketing
- Knowledge of online outreach and promotion using Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more
- Must be willing to commit at least 20 hours to the role
