What You'll do:

As Director of Platform Engineering, you'll be responsible for building out the Agile teams you are responsible for, managing the development process, and shaping our technical infrastructure. We are looking for an adult in the room to drive, shape, and lead the Platform (SaaS). We are building a PaaS/SaaS from the ground up an delivering over the cloud.  

We are moving away from a Monolithic App to the modern micro-services architecture which underpins a crazy open-source tech stack but this area is open to your choosing. Designing technical architectures for complex solutions…This Microservices Architecture encompasses (workflow/business rules, authentication, persistence, core frameworks, metadata, IDM, etc).

The ideal candidate leads, manages, chooses technology, has delivered products to customers (internal or external) (30% hands on tech and able to code), but a true leader. 


Building strong engineering organization by leading, coaching and inspiring multiple agile teams of talented software engineers.

Work closely with senior management to define goals and plan.

Work with the Engineering and Product teams to execute projects from conception to production.

Contribute and drive the technology roadmap.

Overseeing recruitment, hiring, and retention of top engineering talents.

Improving software development, and driving meaningful sprint deliverables.

Constantly improve team productivity by refining Agile processes.

Leading the organization in the adoption of services development approach (microservices)



  • An entrepreneurial and technology background with 7+ years experience managing and leading engineering of product development initiatives of vary sizes and complexity.
  • Agile evangelist. Passion for shipping code daily and iterating.
  • Hands on approach to solving complex technical problems.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with developer tools and technologies like Java, JavaScript, and MySQL
  • Experience at working well under pressure and capable of balancing competing priorities in an expanding and fast-paced organization.
