Data Security Engineer

The Data Security Engineer is responsible for customer facing IT & security.  This role would work with customers on the support side to help with enterprise controls and talking with customers about wDesk’s security features and implementation.   You will  work with the customer from a support perspective for SSO.  Some of the technical challenges include, but are not limited to, managing cloud application security brokers (CASB) and networking support

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with Federated Services setup within Wdesk
  • Assist customers with authentication including 2FA, OAuth, SAML 2.0 and access
  • Work with customers on API integrations for ERP, SCIM and SEIM
  • Manage customer questions through email
  • Work with customers on Networking including DNS, Proxy, ACL, Policy and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of encryption
  • Assist with CASB applications and facilitate support of a SaaS product with CASB tools
  • Work with creating technical instructions for support of Enterprise (IdAM, CASB, Networking and Authorization)
  • Work with application troubleshooting and access

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; project management is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
  • B.A./B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of IT security experience, ideally in a cloud environment
  • Knowledge of networking, Cloud and SAML 2.0 is preferred
  • Knowledge of API
  • Knowledge of IdAM (Identity, Access Management)
