Role Purpose
This pivotal role is designed to bridge the gap between advanced technological frameworks and pragmatic business solutions, ensuring client needs are met with precision and efficiency. The successful candidate will leverage expertise in cloud data engineering to design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure aligning with strategic business objectives. This position calls for a proficient professional capable of translating complex requirements into innovative data solutions that drive operational excellence and business value across diverse industries.
As a vital contributor within our Data Analytics & AI vertical, you will engage with dynamic teams and stakeholders to empower data-driven decision-making through cutting-edge cloud technologies, primarily focused on Google Cloud Platform. Your keen understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud-native tools will directly influence the robustness and agility of the organization's data landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy reliable and robust data pipelines utilizing Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Composer, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage to handle high-volume, complex data workflows.
- Develop scalable, efficient, and easily maintainable Python scripts and applications for various data processing, automation, and system integration tasks.
- Design and implement comprehensive ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and store both structured and unstructured datasets in alignment with data governance and compliance standards.
- Optimize data storage solutions by evaluating performance and cost trade-offs to ensure data accessibility and reliability while managing resources prudently.
- Administer stringent data quality assurance protocols, ensuring data integrity and security throughout the data lifecycle, incorporating best practices and compliance mandates.
- Collaborate actively with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver insightful data solutions, and promote data literacy.
- Monitor pipeline performance and resolve bottlenecks promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and sustained process efficiency.
- Stay abreast of advancements in Google Cloud Platform offerings and industry trends to continuously enhance data architecture and integration strategies.
- Exhibit a strong foundation in data engineering concepts, particularly within the GCP ecosystem, supported by relevant certifications such as Google Professional Data Engineer.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior team members, and participating in technical evaluations and strategic planning.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

- Proficiency in Python programming tailored for data engineering tasks including automation, ETL development, and integration.
- Comprehensive understanding of data modeling, data warehousing architectures, and pipeline design optimizations to support scalable analytics solutions.
- Possession of Google Professional Data Engineer certification or equivalent credentials validating expertise in GCP services and best practices.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in cloud-based data engineering or related fields.
- Experience with data security, data governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to data management.
- A track record of collaborating successfully within cross-functional technical and business teams in fast-paced environments.
