Who We’re Looking For

As a Sales Development Representative at When I Work you are the first person to interact with our prospective customers and new free trial users.  Our Sales Development Reps work directly with our customers to enhance their overall user experience and expedite their understanding of When I Work’s apps.  Sales Development Reps are responsible for outbound calls to our new free trial users as well as inbound calls, emails, and requests for information.  As the frontlines to our largest prospective customers, our Sales Development Representatives are vital to our mission of making work less work for the hourly workforce.

We are looking for people who have a rare combination of talents who contain technology acumen, business comprehension, and the ability to communicate with anyone from anywhere.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Management of the first prospect conversation via email, chat, phone calls, and webinars
  • Qualifying leads and scheduling meetings for the Account Executives
  • Placing 30+ outbound calls and emails daily
  • Building rapport with our new free trial users
  • Providing guidance and best practices on the implementation and setup of When I Work’s applications
  • Work with the Marketing, Customer Care, Development and the Executive teams to identify/resolve all issues that could impact conversion rate and satisfaction
  • Maintain above 80% success of company’s expected quota for outbound SDR role
  • Building rapport with When I Work prospects who may have never heard of WIW before
  • Acting as a liaison between the Account Executives and the potential customer
  • Responding to prospect product questions and/or scheduling conflicts
  • Effectively communicate When I Work’s products and how it benefits prospect’s company
  • Become proficient in When I Work’s discovery and sales execution process to ensure prospects are properly vetted and connected with the right resources
  • Demonstrate expertise in the When I Work application suite
  • Continuously identify improvements, communicate recommendations and best practices for sales team process
  • Ability to be flexible with any related duties assigned  

Experience and Skills Needed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in sales, communication, technology related field, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge and abilities to successfully perform job requirements
  • Experience prospect facing sales & service role that includes sales and application setup and delivery at both the business owner and executive levels
  • Entry level experience in sales, lead generation or outbound calling
  • Knowledge in technology sales, SaaS implementation, mobile apps or cloud software
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with prospects
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a face paced, ever-changing environment
  • Technology savvy and ability to quickly learn new things
  • Passion for customer service, sales and business consulting
