General Purpose: The Project Manager oversees the planning and execution of one or more projects within the North American Fleet line of business. Management responsibility extends through the entire project lifecycle from the Initiation Phase through Implementation and includes post-implementation support during the Stabilization period. The Project Manager is responsible for complying with the WEX Project Management Life Cycle methodology and the appropriate Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology (waterfall, iterative, agile).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop an overall plan that defines how the project will be planned, monitored and controlled by tailoring the WEX Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies to fit the scope and complexity of the project.

Team Building.

Hold the Project Team members accountable for their deliverables.

Collaborate with the broader team including Product owners, Subject Matter Experts (Business and Technical).

Conflict resolution – Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches

Manage the project schedule.

Manage the development of cost estimates, project budget and cost baseline; provide ongoing management of the project's cost baseline.

Implementing effective risk management which includes identifying and analyzing risks, determining risk responses, monitoring risks throughout the lifecycles, and invoking risk mitigation plans, as necessary.

Identify project Stakeholders and effectively manage Stakeholder expectations.

Providing effective communications of project related status, risks and issues.

Identifying project team training needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Minimum of 10 years project management experience.

Knowledge of and experience with agile software development methodologies (Kanban and Scrum) – at least three years.

Knowledge of and experience with plan driven software development methodologies (waterfall / Iterative) – at least five years.

Strong presentation skills .

Articulate, succinct, and direct - Knowledge of how to work amongst leaders and hold them accountable.

Structured and action oriented.

Ability to create and track key program/project level milestones.

Experience with Jira and Confluence.

Experience with enterprise level Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools for resource management.

Excellent problem solving and influencing skills.

Clear and concise spoken English.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience as a Project Manager (12 years).
