General Purpose:

The Enterprise Application Integration Architect provides technical leadership, vision, and implementation accountability to drive cross-application initiatives. This role contributes to the planning and execution of multiple critical projects across WEX and is responsible for designing technical solutions, collaborating with technical and non-technical staff, and for providing effective project communications. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of integration approaches, including APIs, connectors, flat files, and RPA. Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in multiple integration platforms and RPA.

Candidates must have strong technical and interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Experience in integration platforms and providing technical leadership are a must along with the ability to execute plans with focus on details and timing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide world-class technology solutions that enable company's business strategy

  • Drive analysis, selection and implementation of Integration technology solutions to deliver on WEX's strategic plan (including Jitterbit and Blue Prism)

  • Engage in defining solutions architecture and ensure that architecture standards maximize efficiency, reuse and support platform compatibility.

  • Act as liaison with primary stakeholders for the management of all aspects of maintenance and specific enhancements, data integrity, and security in Jitterbit and Blue Prism platforms (and others)

  • Provide technical leadership ; actively assist in planning and participating in team development

  • Contribute to defining human resource needs for projects; develop technical bench strength and manage ongoing technical performance

  • Act as an escalation point for project and technical teams

  • Leverage agile metrics and tools to understand team performance and take action to improve the efficiency of the team

  • Serve as the escalation point for multiple 3 rd party development partners

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of emerging technology trends and identify opportunities where technology may deliver business improvements and competitive advantage


Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • BS/BA degree in technical/information science or related field

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML) , Business Process Management (BPM), Integration and reporting technologies

  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience with small to midsize teams; solid knowledge of triaging and escalation of critical issues

  • Experience managing technology roadmaps

  • Experience with or direct oversight of RPA systems and integration software

  • Ability to prioritize (and re-prioritize) as business needs change

  • Proven experience with vendor management

  • Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders; strong customer service orientation

  • Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and ticket/case management
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Blue Prism RPA suite

  • Working experience with .NET, Tableau, JItterbit or comparative technologies

  • Experience in working with highly transactional, e-commerce, or finance related industry

  • Experience with Agile and issue/project tracking software such as Jira
