Program Manager, Occupational Regulatory Relations

World Education Services is seeking a Program Manager, Occupational Regulatory Relations to join its Institutional Relations team in our Toronto office. The Program Manager, Occupational Regulatory Relations works within the Institutional Relations team to engage and develop strategic relationships with professional licensing bodies in Canada to achieve growth goals in a manner consistent with WES mission and vision.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Institutional Client Relations, this role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining high value relationships with professional licensing bodies. Equally important, this position focuses on WES facilitative role in the recognition of international academic credentials by identifying and proposing solutions to existing barriers to entry to practice faced by internationally educated individuals.

The incumbent will formulate strategies to develop new partnerships as well as enhance the existing relationships with the regulatory community in Canada. This role contributes to the planning and implementation of organizational activities to maximize opportunities for internationally educated individuals to gain recognition for their international academic credentials from regulators and other end-users. This role supports all WES activities around building strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in international credentials recognition arena.

Responsibilities and Duties (but not limited to)

· Identifying and developing partnerships with Canadian regulatory community

· Research prospects to create new leads and build an outreach plan; convert leads to referral partners; secure one-on-one in-person meetings to establish or strengthen referral partnerships

· Recommend and ensure the availability of appropriate WES tools and resources for use by professional licensing bodies and all external stakeholders

· Collaborate with all internal stakeholders to address barriers to entry to practice

· Work with Institutional Relations, Marketing and Communications and Research Teams to enhance WES brand among professional licensing bodies

· Support the development and execution of organizational priority campaigns

· Cultivate and steward relationships with the regulatory community, using senior leadership influence as needed

· Execute strategic and operational goals and ensure alignment with the WES Mission; maintain an up-to-date and deep knowledge of WES programs and services

· Update the Salesforce database with accurate information on institutional clients

· Research and stay on top of the trends affecting licensure processes for internationally educated professionals and provide briefings to the team and Senior Leadership

· Research and monitor reports and literature addressing barriers for the integration of internationally educated individuals to the regulated occupations

· Travel and attend events organized by regulatory community

· Uphold brand standards; provide branding support and carry out quality assurance on partner communications materials

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

· A post-secondary degree with a focus in humanities and/or marketing, or other applicable disciplines with a proven track record of building trust relationships with key stakeholders and influence stakeholders

· 5 + years of relevant work experience in building relationships with professional licensing bodies or business development experience in a business-to-business consultative environment

· Well versed on issues affecting the labour market integration of internationally educated individual in the regulated and non-regulated occupations; empathetic to challenges faced by internationally trained individuals and a passion to make a difference; keen eye on policies affecting labour market integration

· Ability to work independently and in teams

· Team player skills and a natural relationship-builder both internally and externally

· Creative approach to cultivation and stewardship

· Superior verbal and written communications skills

· Experience with Salesforce or other CRM databases

· Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
