Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) is one of the company's four main divisions. WIM businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.

Wealth Management (WM): Wealth Management business is a leading provider of financial services to high-net worth clients through Wells Fargo Private Bank, and to the affluent segment through partnerships between Wealth Brokerage Services and the Community Bank. In Wealth Management, clients are provided with a complete range of solutions to help them manage, preserve and transfer their wealth.

Assists Senior Investment Strategists in handling investment management activities for a group of clients. Administers trades and maintains compliance documentation, records, and files within company policies and guidelines. Provides proactive client service and addresses client inquiries. Interacts frequently with clients, internal departments and/or external resources to research and resolve complex account issues related to highly complex accounts. Creates weekly reports, concentrations, sector allocation, bond maturity ranges and statistics. Analyzes research reports from various sources like Bloomberg, First Call, etc. Provides initial Reg 9 review and follow-up support to Investment Strategists. Develops strong product knowledge and client relationship management skills to meet the financial needs of customers and may have accountability over simple accounts. Prepares preliminary client correspondence and customized professional client presentation/investment review materials to support sales/marketing efforts. Works under the direct supervision of Senior Investment Strategist to analyze, propose and execute investment solutions. Utilizes an investment consulting approach to execute investment strategies leveraging individual securities (incl. equities, bonds, ETFs, real estate securities, etc.), pooled vehicles (incl. open and closed end Mutual Funds and DIFs), "open architecture" platforms, and "alternative" investments to maximize returns commensurate with an acceptable level of risk for the client. Performs investment research, keeps informed of developments in investment management industry and confers with tax attorneys, accountants, etc., to determine other consequences of investment decisions and resolve account problems. Assists in business development through sales/marketing while leveraging partnership opportunities throughout the firm.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of investment support experience

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience with investment research or portfolio management or work within private client asset management business.
  • Familiarity with fiduciary standard and related compliance requirements/oversight.
  • Experience with FactSet and Morningstar preferred.

Bachelor's degree.

  • Currently enrolled in CFA program or advanced degree program.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and problem-solve.
  • Familiarity with multiple asset classes and investment strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities at once.
