Wan Circuit technologies: frame-relay, HDLC, PPP, Authentication [PAP, CHAP], PPPoE, MLPPP, Metro and WAN Ethernet topologies.
LAN switching technologies - layer 2 protocols , VLAN , trunking VTP, VTP pruning, dot1Q, Native VLAN, Manual pruning, EtherChannel - LACP, PAgP, Load-balancing, spanning-tree PVST+/RPVST+/MST , port security, Switch security features , router security features & 802.1x
Addressing technologies- IPv4/IPv6 addressing and subnetting
First-hop redundancy protocols - HSRP, GLBP, VRRP ; NTP and Authentication
Routing protocols- EIGRP, OSPF and BGP
Fundamental routing concepts , Route redistribution, summarization, policy-based routing, suboptimal routing, routing loop prevention mechanisms, Routing protocol authentication
Device security - IOS AAA using local database, with TACACS+ and RADIUS, device access control , SNMP Management plane protection.
Various switching chassis virtualization and aggregation technologies.

Market Skills and Certifications
Candidate must have minimum Valid CCNP in R&S and having CCNA/CCNP in Voice and Wireless is preferred. 4-7 years overall experience in Cisco Network Engineering, especially in Routing and switching and 1-3 yrs. experience in Cisco Voice and Wireless networks is preferred.
Hands on experience with Cisco WLAN, voice Gateway implementation and CUCM is a plus.
Should be good in change management & Problem management process. Being Certified in ITILv3 is optional and preferred.

Layer 2 and Layer multicast
L2 & L3 MPLS operations
Tunneling encapsulations and VPNs- GRE, Dynamic GRE, DMVPN, MPLS-VPLS general principals and IPsec and GET VPN.
Basic understanding on IPv6 tunneling techniques
End-to-end QoS, QoS using MQC, layer 2 QoS
IP SLA - ICMP, UDP, Jitter, VoIP; Netflow v5 and v9; tracking object, tracking list, Tracking different entities
