Job Description

Default – Manages a medium-sized technology work unit or one or two smaller, specialized work units with indirect impact to organization-wide objectives. Works on moderately complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of numerous factors. Establishes and recommends changes to policies which affect work units directly and indirectly managed. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs, staff, and delays in overall schedules. Interacts with direct reports, customers and functional peer group managers. Typically has exempt staff and some lower-level managers as direct reports. Develops and administers budget. – Default The position also represents the Distributed Systems Support Operations teams in multiple projects focused on strengthening partnerships, increasing customer satisfaction, deploying new technology, and bridging gaps for continuous service improvement. As well as responsible for driving key business objectives to completion.

The manager of this team may have regular engagement with senior level managers across the entire enterprise including the business as well as technology. This position will be responsible for communicating directly to vendors on a regular basis to either provide reactive support or proactive management of the vendors infrastructure. The manager may also be responsible for escalating issues to the senior managers of the vendors in a business friendly professional tone as issues arise. Working with the other vendor management team, the manager, helps define quality metrics and improved goals across the vendor platforms.

Judgement of the person in this position is paramount, decisions that are made by this person can inevitably render the bank down for multiple hours.

This position will manage a team of UNIX system analysts. This manager will have approximately 15 stateside direct reports. This manager will also be responsible for working closely with the India peer teams to ensure a “One Team” culture is maintained. This position may be changed to a “shift” based position in the future.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology experience
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience, in a technology environment
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a production environment
  • 4+ years of global diversity & inclusion consulting experience
  • 5+ years of distributed servers platform experience
  • 4+ years of budget management experience

  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • 5+ years of Remedy experience
  • 5+ years of PAC2000 experience

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
